With his strong understanding of user experience across a range of digital media, John is a go-to expert in the planning, design and programming of web and mobile communications. He has extensive skills in print design, having successfully led, design-directed and managed translations for a multi-platform national publication with readership in the tens of thousands. John also develops logos and other elements of visual identity to support corporate brands, unify related programs and connect to audience interests.
Design keeps changing so rapidly with online communications—and it's exciting to be part of that change. It presents a lot of new and interesting challenges and opportunities. I can’t wait to see where it goes.
John has a quiet, calm way of taking a really complex problem and making the solution beautiful. His web designs are technically advanced and intuitively brilliant, bringing a client brand and a user experience together through a seamless match.
John finds inspiration all around him. He lists “just about everything.” To name a few: music, his surroundings, the people he's working with or has worked with, dreams from last night, what he ate for breakfast and, above all, usability.
John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. He joined the Williams Group team in 2006.
